On Friday, August 26, the Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy hosted an inaugural ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the nearly 100 new students joining the academy this school year. Honorary attendees included Student Leadership Network founder Ann Tisch, U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids, newly elected Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas and former mayor Sly James.
