Now that summer is officially upon us, there is no better way to ring in the season than with a refreshing glass of cold lemonade. Here at 435 Magazine we scouted out our favorite alternative ways to serve up the drink. Mix it up and add some of these lemonade stand-ins to your menu this week. Lemonade Cheesecake

Cheesecake just may be the perfect way to finish off a meal. This creamy filling is the perfect mix of tart and sweet, top it off with fresh whipped cream and you are ready for summertime bliss.


2 C whole milk ricotta cheese
1 can (6 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
2 eggs
1⁄2 C sugar
1/3 C flour
1 (9 oz.) prepared graham cracker pie crust

1 C sugar
1 T lemon zest
1⁄2 tsp baking powder

1⁄4 tsp salt
1 egg
1⁄2 C sour cream

2 C flour

This cake just may take the cake for summertime treats. It is fluffy and moist, all things that cake should be, and it is sweet and tangy, all things lemonade should be. Topping it off the cream cheese lemonade frosting is absolutely divine.


1 1/3 cups sugar
6 T unsalted butter, softened
1 T lemon zest
4 T thawed lemonade concentrate
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 egg whites
2 C all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 C low-fat buttermilk
Cooking Spray

2 T butter, softened
2 tsp lemon zest
3 tsp thawed lemonade concentrate
1⁄2 tsp vanilla extract
8 oz. cream cheese
3 1⁄2 C powdered sugar
