Here’s how to score BOGO drinks in KC this summer

With so many incredible watering holes to venture to in Kansas City, it can be tough to decide which one to try next.

A recently-launched promotion not only creates a sort of KC summer scavenger hunt of local cocktails, beer and coffee — but you get quite the deal out of it.

The Passport Program‘s summer field guide to Kansas City drinking spots costs $25 and is good for buy-one-get-one drinks at 58 restaurants, breweries, wineries and coffee shops in the KC metro.

The passport is valid from from May 24-September 30. On their website, The Passport Program addresses passport tipping etiquette: “Don’t burn your bartender. While you’re paying for one drink, your bartender is making two, so tip ($) accordingly.”

The drink-your-way-through-the-city guidebook concept isn’t necessarily new to the area. KC Tap Tour is a fairly similar idea, but for beer lovers. Participants pick up guidebooks at Made in KC store locations and get them stamped when they visit eligible breweries. The more breweries visited, the higher the chance participants have at winning a prize.

Speaking of scavenger hunts, 435 Magazine created the ultimate summer calendar of something to do every single day this summer in or near Kansas City and we will pick our favorite photos of people doing the activities. To participate, use the hashtag #94daysKC on Instagram and make sure you are following @435mag. Winners will receive $100 to a KC restaurant.
